Marcella Candilera in 1993 he graduated in Architecture with honors from the University of Rome 'La Sapienza' and in the same year he graduated in opera singing at the Conservatory of Music of L'Aquila 'A. Box'.

After graduating in singing he attended numerous courses and specialization masters and in 1994 he won the competition to enter the Mantua International Opera Academy presided over by Katia Ricciarelli following which he embarked on a solo career throughout the national territory.

In 1995 he made his debut at the Braunschweig festival in the baroque opera Henrico Leone by A. Steffani conducted by F. Pirona.

From the Baroque repertoire he also sang Bach (Mass in B minor, Magnificat, Johannes Passion and various cantatas), Haendel (Messiah), Pergolesi (Stabat Mater), Vivaldi (Stabat Mater), Haydn (Nelsonmesse).

Of the Italian operatic tradition, he prefers the bel canto roles and in particular Rossini (Italiana in Algeri, Tancredi, Barbiere di Siviglia, Petite Messe Solennelle, Stabat Mater) and Bellini (Norma).

In 1998 he joined the Choir of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia where he acquired considerable musical experience under the guidance of famous conductors (Chung, Savallisch, Abbado, Pretre, Rozdestvenskij and others) and in addition to the Roman season he took part in prestigious tours throughout the world, recording several CDs as the first solo part.

Still as a soloist, her voice is appreciated abroad and in particular in England: she wins the competition to participate in the review of young talents of the Budapest Opera House (she sings in Stockholm for the Royal State University, is included in the musical season Pallant house gallery, St. John chapel in Chichester, Medieval Hall in Salisbury, West Dean college and St. James Piccadilly in London).

From 2002 he began a stable collaboration with the "Cameristi di Varese e del Ticino" Orchestra directed by R. Zoya with whom he works in the most important locations of Lake Como in Italy and Switzerland.

In 2007 he sang a sophisticated a capella concert of contemporary music at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome on the occasion of the M. Rotchko exhibition under the guidance of Maestro R. Gabbiani; the same repertoire was proposed again the following year in the church of S. Vitale on the occasion of the Ravenna Festival in the presence of Maestro R. Muti.

In July 2010 he collaborated with the Rai choir at the Teatro Regio dell'opera in Turin on the recording of a CD for the Chandos brand.

Since 2004 he has been teaching lyric and modern singing, piano, solfeggio both privately and in collaboration with various private schools.

At the same time, after graduating in Architecture, since 1994 he has been involved in the renovation and interior decoration for private and public clients, mainly using the 'stencil' technique in his projects to paint every surface (walls, fabrics, wood, flooring, polyester , paper and glass). Over the years he has specialized in the artisan carving of even very complex masks, thus creating a personal assortment of images and symbols which are often mixed with sentences or simple words during the creation phase.

In 1997 he began experimenting with ceramics starting from the manipulation of clay up to the powder painting and enamel phase of the last firing for the creation of large surfaces and objects.

In 1999 he stenciled a collection of mosaic motifs inspired by the Cosmatesque tradition (Anagni Cathedral) and the classical Arab one.

The technique where his creativity is expressed to the fullest has always been watercolor.

His production moves between figurative and abstract phases and has been accompanied for some years by intense literary descriptions that fade into poetry.

In 2012, on the occasion of a personal exhibition of oils and watercolors for the Guazzolini brand, she published the book 'Storie di donne'.

As author together with Arch. Di Paola has also published 'Piedegreen' for Aracne editor on the history of the pilgrimage in the southern Via Francigena, presented in December 2014 at the small and medium-sized publishing fair 'Più libri più libera' at Eur.

In 1995 she became a disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda and began her collaboration with the Self -Realization Fellowship thanks to which she specialized in conducting devotional songs, bhajans and kirtans on the harmonium; he dubs conferences from English into Italian and takes part in various recordings of Indian music. He has been a kriyaban since 1997.

Since 2015 he has regularly led meditation and mantra yoga groups both live and online in parallel with singing and vocal awakening courses for groups of students who achieve a significant improvement in technique already after the first basic level.
